News from Dennis Summers: I’m pleased to ask you to view the latest chapter in the Slow Light Shadow Matter series of short videos inspired by a scientist and an artist.

The chapters have been created out of order, and this is Chapter 7. Titled “Time is the Mind of Space” the scientist is David Bohm, and the artist is Richard Pousette-Dart. Please note that although these videos are necessarily compressed files for internet viewing, this chapter is particularly compromised owing to its intentional lack of contrast and slight distinctions between the blended component images and the background. You can read more details about the series at the first link above.

Also note that this series of videos is meant to be played on three separate screens with a small gap between them, in spite of how it looks on the internet. If anyone knows a venue that might be able to display these videos properly (this is the sixth) please let me know. Once again, a tip of the hat for the music created and recorded by my extraordinarily talented friend, multi-genre improviser and composer Thollem.

New Book: Cutting Up Books

Explores writing as experiment and destruction as discovery. Blending theory, art, and practice, it introduces textrapolation: a cut-up method that reimagines creativity, authorship, and knowledge-making in the age of artificial unintelligence. Encourages intellectual play, intuition, and embodied experimentation to reanimate writing and thought.
