The School of Applied Sciences and Arts (SASA) within the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts on the Arizona State University Polytechnic Campus invites applications for a tenure-eligible Assistant Professor position in Animal Studies. This is a full-time appointment with research, teaching (2/2 load), and service expectations. 

SASA seeks a scholar whose research and teaching will contribute to the field of Animal Studies, broadly conceived, while also enhancing our Science, Technology, and Society (STS) and Interdisciplinary Studies programs. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging Humanities/Social Sciences with our Animal Sciences-oriented courses, research, and community-engaged initiatives. (We have a huge population of students in an applied biology pre-veterinarian program.)

Required Qualifications include a terminal degree in History, Science and Technology Studies, American Studies, Ethnic Studies, English, Philosophy, Anthropology, Sociology, or related humanities or social sciences field by time of appointment; evidence of a developed research program in the field of Animal Studies; and a commitment to advancing the ASU Charter and Design Aspirations through research, teaching, and/or service.
