About the Editors:
J.D. Talasek is a curator, researcher, and writer renowned for his work at the intersection of art and science. As the director of Cultural Programs at the National Academy of Sciences and editor-in-chief of Leonardo Journal, he has dedicated over 13 years to fostering dialogue through events such as DASER (DC Art Science Evening Rendezvous). His extensive experience includes roles at Johns Hopkins University and the Smithsonian Institution, where he has significantly contributed to the integration of art within scientific contexts.
Barbara Stauffer is a distinguished ceramic artist with a rich background in program development at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History. Her leadership in crafting engaging exhibitions and educational outreach demonstrates her commitment to merging art with science for diverse audiences. Stauffer’s academic and professional credentials reflect her dedication to promoting interdisciplinary collaboration between these fields.
