Daily SLS Email Digest

Date: 5 Feb 1998 09:33:22 -0800
From: S Weininger
Subject: Images in science
I am trying to put together a session for the next SLS conference on
the
role of images in science and in the education of scientists. More
particularly, I'd like to bring together people who teach courses that
address those issues. An art historian colleague and I teach such a
course
at WPI, called "Light, Vision and Understanding." Another
chemist/art
historian pair at Fairfield are now teaching "The Future of the
Image." If
you are involved in a similar enterprise I'd be happy to hear from you;
if
you have friends or colleagues who are please pass this along to them
and/or send me their names and email addresses.
Thanks,
Steve
