Please note this advertisement for an Assistant or Associate (with 
tenure) position in New Media in the English Department at Rutgers 
University, New Brunswick.

Associate or Assistant Professor, Media Studies[696]

The Department of English at Rutgers University (New 
Brunswick-Piscataway) is seeking an associate or assistant professor in 
Media Studies, pending the availability of funds. We envisage media 
studies in the broadest possible sense: we intend the term to include 
not just work on the contemporary moment, but also to encompass such 
potential areas as history of the book, technologies and literature, 
film theory, performance studies, visual culture, the future of 
literacy, web-authoring, and multi-media composition. Send application 
letter and curriculum vita postmarked no later than October 26th to 
Richard E. Miller, Chair, Department of English, Rutgers University,
